Summary
One of the greatest weapons we have against the enemy is the presence of God. With God on our side, who can be against us? There is a sense of protection and peace that
permeates our hearts when we know for certain God is with us. He has promised to never leave or forsake us.
- In the beginning, Satan (the serpent) spoke words that contradicted God’s Word (Genesis 3:1-10).
- Faith comes by hearing and hearing the Word of God.
- Fear comes by hearing a word that contradicts the Word of God.
- Eliminate fear by meditating on what God said instead of the contradictions.
- When Satan speaks a word that contradicts God’s Word, he is attempting to plant a seed of fear in us.
- Whenever we are afraid, we are not sure God’s presence is really with us.
- Many times fear comes as a result of sin that has not been confessed.
- Sin brings shame and guilt with it, which causes people to hide from the presence of God.
- Adam and Eve knew no fear until they sinned.
- Fear is the foundation of every sin.
- God has said He will not in any way fail us or leave us without support (Hebrews 13:5, AMP).
- God promises to be with us always; He has declared He will not leave us helpless.
- God assured Joshua that as He was with Moses, He would also be with him (Joshua 1:5).
- Jesus promised to be with us always, even until the end of the world (Matthew 28:20).
- David said, “… I will fear no evil: for thou art with me …” (Psalm 23:4).
- If God is for us, who can be against us? (Romans 8:31; Psalm 118:6).
- People who know without a shadow of a doubt that God is with them, cannot be defeated.
- Jesus said “… He that sent me is with me …” (John 8:29).
- Be the type of person who walks in constant victory because you know God is with you.
- Being in a battle does not automatically make you a conqueror.
- Conquerors consistently win battles.
- We are fighting spiritual battles on a constant basis; however, we know we are conquerors because God loves us.
- God promises to be with us always; He has declared He will not leave us helpless.
- How do we experience the presence of God?
- Praise is our weapon.
- To dwell in the house of the Lord” means to dwell in the presence of God (Psalm 23:6; Psalm 122:1).
- To “enter into His presence” means to enter into a more intimate fellowship with God.
- A psalmist declared that he would rather be a door keeper in the house of the Lord than to dwell in the tent of the wicked (Psalm 84:10).
- To take your fellowship with God to a deeper level, occupy your mind with Him throughout your day.
- Praise the Lord seven times a day; praise ushers you into His presence (Psalm 119:164).
- He shows us the path of life and in His presence is fullness of joy (Psalm 16:11).
- Praise is our weapon.
